I opened up my controller and unhooked the clip that holds the magnet inside of the trigger, then moved it a little further away from the sensor, so it doesn't automatically hit its field. ![]() The Xbox One controller's triggers work by moving a magnet closer to a hall effect sensor, that then "sees" how close the magnet is and outputs the value of how much the trigger is pressed. I am not entirely sure what caused this, but it was a hardware defect on my controller. I checked my inputs and saw that, indeed, my brake was never reaching 0% unless I "pulled out" the trigger in the opposite way it is intended to be pressed. If it's not 0%, it will prevent up shifts (not a new thing)." This is what lead me to the answer. "Your brake pedal's rest position is exactly at 0%. ![]()
